A true story

Migael Audette (right) founded BigMig after a radical shift. At the time, he had launched Ma Nutrition, a carbon copy of the big players. Same model. Same advertising. Same mistakes. Result: close to bankruptcy.

Then one detail changed everything: the only loyal customers asked for truly custom-made products.

They were willing to pay for quality. They wanted food made for them, not for everyone else.

This is where BigMig was born.

The nickname "BigMig" comes from Migael himself, a former 240-lb weightlifter, who lost over 40 lbs by preparing his own meals. What worked for him, he decided to offer to others.

He brought his chef Jeff (middle) into the shareholding. Then Martin (left) into marketing.

Why we exist

The convenience food industry is saturated. Frozen, standardized, sanitized. Factory-made meals with 1,000 ingredients. Generic quantities meant to suit everyone. Big-budget ad campaigns, but no heart in the kitchen.

We decided to do it differently.

BigMig was born from the observation that eating well should be simple, good and effective.

What we want to change

BigMig is a living project.

  • Reduce (then eliminate) plastic.
  • Giving back to our community.
  • Helping them eat better…for life.
